Do you ever plan on cleaning up the forum[Delete old topics]/deleting old accounts?

Deleting old accounts is not within my capabilities but deleting old topics is. However it won't help too much that I'm aware of.

If you can, may you tell us will their be a specific order of Moderator Recruitment? Or is it randomized in a way? By specific order, I mean Public Recruitment/Non-Public Recruitment.

I prefer Public Recruitment. I do not see Non-public recruitment happening aside from returning moderators and borderlines from the previous Public Recruitment. It allows the moderation staff to obtain more diversity and find more hidden gems although it is a ton more work. A ton more work.

As Hab was promoted, who is his heir? Or is this classified information?
Will their be another addition of a moderator or is what you have enough?

Ok so you say you can't really change the look of the forum, aside from forum banners and such, but we would have that christmas background before, replacing the classic orange.

Was that webmaster's doing? If not will you ever consider changing the classic orange to different colors?

We usually don't replace every moderator we lose. Which is why we eventually run low. Not that it won't happen every now and then.

It is. We updated that awhile ago but never updated it in the Forum Rules. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to update that as well when I get around to it.

We weren't able to get the change to the winter skin last Christmas, I think maybe the one before that too. Might be able to next time though. Maybe. We made Winter banners for the sections instead this last holiday season.

Hmm so i understand you won't recover accounts but how about trying to crack down on all the scammers tht seem to lurk this site. I'm sure if you read half the pms about stolen accounts a few names might pop out more than once. I know it seems dumb but ATM it seems you guys have nothing against such a thing since it's not really in your control to change how easy it can be to recover an acct.

To clarify then, is it your doing?
If so, can we not see more frequent changes? I.e Easter
It'd also be a good prize for future events.

That's what I'm saying. If we do have the easter egg hunt(can apply for Xmas gift hunt) one of the prizes can be "Change the forums background color!" Or "Forum banner with your username & choice of character!"

It's all about verification. We can't do anything to anyone without explicit proof. Let's consider all the times someone's claimed I've stolen their accounts. Yeah. It happens. People get tricked. It's too easy to impersonate. It also be easy for a group to come together and accuse someone they don't like. There's also the fact someone could trade their accounts for some 'xats' and then come whine that it was stolen and that this guy scammed him. You have to account for all these things. We can't go witch hunting scammers.

We've never approved of it and we do what we can to warn against it. Hence our disapproval of trading on the forum or otherwise. there's just not a lot we can do about it. It ends up being the member's responsibility to make those good passwords, to make sure their email is real and hidden and to not share their account info.

Can we have music again in section like Leychance did? Please............

Any plans for diluting the "mod clans" hegemony and becoming more transparent to moderator applicants and the forum as a whole? (as in discussion of them).

Eh I don't know about the music. I'm sure you might find something weird every and then from me but nothing permanent.

The process of moderator applications was transparent enough when it's Public Recruitment. About ~50% got the sample mod question wrong on the application portion and were immediately discarded. Then every moderator participates in a voting based on the individual's behavior, application answers, and/or history on the forums. You would have to be denied by half of the moderation team to fail at this point. Half is a lot, and doesn't leave room for bias. Only about give or take ~20% more fail that portion. The remaining ~30% went to the GM staff where if any GM denied that applicant they would not receive a test. This was where all their warning and ban history was checked. Only ~5-7% or so failed this portion, and it was again mostly based on history. The rest received an exam, where about ~40% of the remaining failed.

It's a painstakingly long process to try and get it to be the most fair process we can.

I'm not going to sit and count but that's about as close as it gets to the actual numbers (edited them a wee bit too), Any member is free to private message and ask why they were denied. There was nothing closed off about the process and it's about as unbiased as it gets. I'd say we got a pretty diverse batch last time, give or take.

Mm aren't the mod app questions subjective?

"if any GM denied that applicant they would not receive a test" seems unbiased.

Any plans to host the smaller staff tournaments on a more regular basis? Since appointed "official tournament hoster" is kind of absent.
