Name: Nanatsu no Taizai
Author: SUZUKI Nakaba
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Fantasy, Shounen
Status: Ongoing

Synopsis: The "Seven Deadly Sins", a group of evil knights who conspired to overthrow the kingdom of Britannia, were said to have been eradicated by the Holy Knights, although some claim that they still live. Ten years later, the Holy Knights have staged a Coup d'état and assassinated the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. Elizabeth, the king's only daughter, sets out on a journey to find the "Seven Deadly Sins", and to enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.

Edit: You can discuss anything related to the manga Nanatsu no Taizai in this topic. As far as I know, this one doesnt have an anime... not yet anyway.
Enjoy!

Amazing manga that is for sure, the comedy element is quite good too....I have been experiencing only one problem with this manga up until now the fights, they are ceratinly interesting and fun to read but I want the seven deadly sins to go ape shit on someone, an example for this was the latest chapter, they all got defeated fairly easily even Meliodas and also the fact that Meliodas hasn't gone completely all-out on his own will and the only time he went all-out, he was not aware of what he was doing and got bitch slapped, though the opponent received some help.

Definitely recommend it, it is worth your time :D

@markua: Do you know when do they release a chapter, I mean I want to know their release cycle (it is called that right?)
Because I don't know when is the new chapter going to be released and looking at the dates next to every chapter doesn't exactly give me an idea of their release cycle.

NNT is released somewhere between teusdays and wednesdays. At least, the scans are.
Raw; I don't know. Its a series thats currently being released in the jump magazine.
Anyway, it has had 4 Jap comic ranking placements already, with the most recent Nov 6 release putting NNT @ rank 42!

Dam mit, I was gonna post this discussion topic!

Love this manga thus far, I'm all the way through as it is.

On Mangapanda, it's released on either a Monday or a Sunday, the days are iffy at times.

Can't wait to see Meliodas truly go berserk-mode, we've only seen a leap or two of his depth, but not the true bounds. And I'm really psyched for them to get their {I forget the terminology they use} signature weapons that release all of their signature prowess.

When he went all out and cleaved the mountain in half using a twig is truly a feat of feats, isn't it? I absolutely love Meliodas.

Though currently, I'm waiting for a show vs Meliodas and Arthur. I believe thats bound to happen.

True that, I wonder what he'd do if in that state of mind with an actual sword. Scary thought is scary, hah.

What do you think his Full Counter amplifies attacks to when it's bounced back? 3 times their power, 2 times? It's hard to really calculate just on look and result since we haven't seen him get too-too damaged by something he used it against.

Yep, he is scary.

Do note: Meliodas up until now has never used his powers with the intention of killing.

Look how high Twigo is sent flying.

This is a reflection of his own power, multiplied. The same power thats making the cut across the hill visible here.

In the right panel, down below.
I would estimate a blast like that to have had around 10 times the power of Twigo's air slash.

Remember, Full Counter was also used on opponents with affinity related powers like lightning and fire. On top of that, both the parties had the knowledge to depower their attacks. That on top of the fact Meliodas wasn't serious leads me to believe he was just toying with his compettion. Meliodas has said, and proved, that he is undefeatable with a sword, and all fights minus one till know has shown him using the hilt of a broken blade, which as he said, is nothing but crap.

Solid points imo, I never thought of giving him more of a boost than that. And I'm sure Full Counter comes in degrees to - or, in other words, he limits the recoil enhancement depending on the power or his initial goal with his opponent.

Trippy to think about all of them with their Sacred weapons, King's strong as crap with his.

I can't wait to see what Diane could do with hers :D
If Suzuki is pitting her against one of the top Holy knights in her first encounter with her treasure weapon, then I think that this implies that she is one hell of an OP char xD Can't wait to see her fight, I hope my hype doesn't go in vain...+ I wanna see the trio in the castle going all-out, hopefully Suzuki gives them one-on-one fights (he hasn't been doing much of those recently :\).

This last chapter has me pretty hyped at the moment! Didn't see Diane being the first of the Sins to fight, quite honestly.

I thought we would see another encounter between Meliodas and Gilthunder but I don't think I have a problem with seeing Diane's fight first though.

I'm agreed. I kinda hope Ban fights Gilthunder, I think it'd be an epic battle. But Meliodas vs. Gilthunder is bound to happen.

As much as I would love to see Ban fight Gilthunder (that would be waaay too epic), it is as you said Meliodas vs Gilthunder is bound to happen, who knows we may get a change of heart on Gilthunder's side or something because I honestly can't see that dude scratching Meliodas (if he is serious), let alone stand against him in a fight.

Also is Arthur one of the Seven?? Because I can't remember the names of the remaining members (has it even been mentioned), though I feel like his name is familiar, also he seems interesting...

Yeah, Meliodas pretty much just toyed with him last time they fought.

Merlin is one of the remaining Sins' names, and I believe is the one that betrayed them as well, revealed by Gowther. I don't remember the other one, but it's not Arthur, I don't believe.
