List of anime you should watch
"Among other things..."

Ok, lets begin!

1) RahXephon (Mix eureka 7 with evangelion and add a cohesive plot.)

2) Shangri-la (starts off really confusing but if you push through all of that you'll find something quite amazing. You need a decent vocabulary to make heads or tails of what they are talking about sometimes. XD)

3) Black Lagoon (It just got better and better the more i watched)

4) Claymore (No filler, lots of cool moments)

5) Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple (Funny, action, boobs. What more could you ask for.)

6) Berserk (Outdated af but out does other anime while seemingly doing nothing that spectacular.)

7) bleach (Ignoring fillers)

8) C: Control (interesting plot, wish it was longer but meh)

9) eden of the east (Like with C: Control its plot was interesting, the movies were disappointing though)

movie: Skip them. The ending given by the anime while ambiguous, is a thousand times better than what happens in these lack luster flicks. They aren't necessarily horrible just pointless.

10) gurren laggan (The beginning of each damn arc is shit, but it has its pay out)

11) Last Exile (Characters tend to well break character, but it is all for the sake of the plot advancing so it is forgivable)

12) Noein (Slow at times but never was turned off by it.)

13) Eureka Seven (Slow middle, but after that it's all fast pace. Also Dat character development is off the charts)

Movie
Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers (Though the fan based is split with someone who liked/hated it. I feel it fills the void left by the original show's ending. I'd go as far as to say replace the original ending with the movie's, the show's ending sucked)

sequel
Eureka Seven AO (Boarderline crap. It starts off generic as hell, and ends all over the place with nothing resolved. It needs a sequel. It is just incomplete in my book. A prequel wouldn't hurt either) New!

14) Steins;Gate (Like eureka seven its middle is were it starts to dip in quality, but other that it's quite successful in its attempt to portray an honestly "beaten to death" genre)

15) Welcome to the NHK (What can i say about this show? I guess it's just not ment for all. Main is a dick at times)

16) DBZ (Liked it all the way though)

17) heaven's lost property (it's funny)

18) code geass (It's what death note could have been)

19) flcl (it is only 6 episodes, that said it's hard to fuck up a 6 episode series)

20) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (The original series isn't exactly bad, but brotherhood blows it out of the water)

21) Sands of Destruction (I think i only liked it because i wasn't expecting too much going in. could have been longer)

22) Bamboo Blade (Never thought i would like an anime with a mostly girl cast, but what do you know)

23) Suzuka (I like the back and fourth nature of it, cause really without it would be like 13 episodes)

24) Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (What's not to like?)

25) Princess Jellyfish (Magical)

26) Witchblade (not what you think it is, honestly kind of tame)

27) Birdy the Mighty: decoded (What i expected honestly, which isn't a bad thing. Only wish half of the cast wasn't so ignored during the second season.)

28) SECOND TRY One Piece I only watched the CP9 acr. (rest i read) It is still boring as i said before, but it has its moments. The manga is a trillion times better given the story's tedious pacing so yeah stick to manga, but animation does benefit the script in some ways..

29) Canaan (Only disappointment is with the end, not the end of the anime, but the "ending" of a specific character's story.)

I'll explain
Spoiler
All the characters grow/change in some manner by the end, but the main essentially stays the same. The anime itself never points to the main wanting to change, but there are times when the character of the main becomes somewhat of an obstacle. So for the main to just stay her stagnant self is a real let down. There is change but it is so subtle you'd need the damn hubble telescope to see it.

30) Golden Boy (hilarious and pervy make for a great combination)

31) Speed Grapher (rarely and i mean rarely do i ever like an anime's ending. usually they end too mundane, too over the top, or completely out of character for the show. Speed Grapher is one of those rare exceptions though. As for the show itself, think of a more grittier/raw version of C: Control.)

32) Beck: mongolian chop squad (I meant what i said in #31, but god does this one hurt. This anime is boarderline limbo, and that's not due to the ending being the way it is. The journey it takes you on is worth it, but overall it ended up so fucking underwhelming. A damn shame if you ask me.)

33) Kill la Kill (It is like claymore, it never really stops to keep you entertained. One complaint is that the "power levels" tend to move up and down for the sake of the plot, though the show doesn't really take itself that seriously so it isn't a big issue.)

34) Good Luck Girl! (Binbougami ga!) (Funny, meaningful plot, fan-service, and 13 episodes. I really liked the message the plot was sending, hit me right in the feels. I hope they make a season 2 .)

35) Robotic;Notes (Nowhere as good as i thought it would be, the one thing that summaries the show as a whole for me would be "underwhelming". That said, it isn't bad; just "meh")

36) Dance in the vampire bund (I like it for its artistic properties. the story itself is kind of just there, it's like you walked in half-way through a movie, and feel so left out that you don't really give a crap about what's happening. i like it in the sense that it in itself is more of a conceptive piece; It shows interesting techniques. for instance, from a filmological standpoint; all the close ups of the candy, whenever a certain character shows-up. It's an interesting concept though nothing is really ever done with it, in the sense that it doesn't advance the plot; just flair. Though what-if it wasn't just flair? in what way could such a technique be used to cohesively adhere to a plot? while that might be hard to understand, that's my reason for liking it.)

37) Parasyte -the maxim- (It has lows, but it's high are fucking high. B-but dem lows they get low)

Spoiler
-The 3D animation used on background characters... Wtf

-The whole baby scene honestly "It's the right time" kind of lost its impact after that moment. which is probably why they stopped using it after it. The moment did what it sought out to do, but in the end i don't really see the point of it at all. Maybe the manga makes a bigger deal out of the whole thing, but in the anime the baby just gets thrown in foster care and we never hear of it again.

-Killing-off Kana. Why you sons of bitches, WHY! There was no point, she added way more to the story than murano ever did. There was just so much wasted potential...

-Battle anime setup with no battles. Same problem with Xam'd: Lost Memories. It really irks the shit out of me when animes do this.

-Goto being ridiculous overpowered... It adds tension, but after you've witness the main character rip a person's heart out with their bear hands... it becomes a little fucking underwhelming to have them running away like a little bitch every time this mofo shows up.

-Killing-off Tamiya ryoko. and the way they did it too... WASTE OF FUCKING POTENTIAL

-Back to Goto i have no real issues with how goto was finished off but after saying "i'll leave it to chance" it was weird to then just go back and kill the guy.

...i complain but i like it. i do, a-at least i think i do. Lets put it like this, if i wanted to i could easily place this on my shit list, but it has redeemable qualities that stops me from labeling it as such.

Spoiler
..that fucking 3d animation though, starts to shiver

38) Devil Survivor (Basic humanity gets tested type anime. In the beginning it is somewhat hard to watch (reason why i haven't updated this thing in a while to, first few episodes made me think i was going to have to drag myself through it) because it comes off cheesy as hell, but as you go along it finds it's own flavor (nothing mind-blowing though). The characters are the real selling point of this one.) New!

39) Infinite Ryvius (If it is you're first time ever coming across something of this nature i can see it really having more weight, but as it stands with me... meh. As for the "nature" i was talking about, it doesn't really do anything that profound and really takes the safe route with pretty much everything. I only place it on the "good" list because i feel that i might be a tad bit biased, that said it isn't bad... ) New!

40) Chaos;Head (I'm sure i've said this before but just in case the point wasn't fully driven home... I fucking hate when non-battle animes throw in battle anime themes. It just sets up this expectation, and when it's not fulfilled the viewer just feels cheated. Chaos;Head is a; psychological, horror, and mystery type anime. and it excels at that but then it throws in shit that has no business being in its plot. first off there is no reason for the mains to have weapons, the swords should've just been medallions or some shit like that. Then one character got blasted off screen with little to no insight as to what exactly went down. cause fuck it right. then like i said before when it was time to face the big bad no swords were swung and it boiled down to mostly a psychological affair... so yeah poorly implemented all-round it's not bad so it's not going there, but yeah nothing to see here.) New!

............................................................
............................................................

Limbo

"Animes i don't hate, but don't necessarily like either"

1) Attack on titian (Flaws, it has a lot of flaws. From it being over-dramatic, a strange art style (it doesn't fit the show), themes getting over used and shoved down the audience's throat. I'd be interested to see how it all plays out but nothing beyond that.)

2) Gun gale online (like sao, its beginning is actually good, pacing isn't all over the place. I guess the only thing i didn't like is all of the fucking melodrama, and some of the side characters.)

3) Sekirei (Another anime that doesn't finish what it started, but... Maybe that isn't a bad thing. I mean from the very beginning the plot is pretty straightforward... so much so that accurately predicting the ending wouldn't be too far fetched. So while it isn't complete the ending given by the anime is satisfying enough for me to move on without any real urge to look back.

Not that shinning of a recommendation... cause it's not. If you got the time, go for it. If not, you ain't missing nothing. (though it is funny, i'll give it that.) New!

............................................................
............................................................

This part is for animes i saw a long time ago so my memory on them is fuzzy

1) yu yu hakusho (Ending was amazing, If you have nothing better to do it wouldn't hurt to look it up)

2) Dragon ball (couldn't imagine rewatching it, it has like no story, but it is memorable)

3) G Gundam (There is a reason why i made this section)

4) Tenchi Muyo (The first one i believe. Don't remember much, don't care to remember)

5) Inuyasha (It was decent enough for me to contemplate watching "The final arc")

............................................................
............................................................
............................................................

animes i never finished watching

Cowboy Bebop (probably never will, nothing against it though.)
Pokemon (As if...)
trigun (Meh)

............................................................
............................................................
............................................................

And to end animes i haven't gotten around to watching
(So i won't get any "Why didn't you include this or that")

Wolf's Rain
Noir
Clannad
Clannad: After Story
Ga-Rei-Zero
Gantz
Texhnolyze
Darker Than Black
Samurai Champloo
Gunslinger Girl
Mushishi
Future Diary
Guilty Crown

............................................................
............................................................
............................................................
(If i didn't mention something it's probably cause i never heard of it, forgot, or felt this post was long enough as is)

Oh and you're welcome.

Bleach's fillers aren't that bad actually. Except the Bount Arc of course.
Will watch Claymore and Code Geass. Gurren Lagann too.

Yeah compared to other anime filler it's not that bad, especially masumura one, but even that arc stayed around longer than it needed to.

Damn son, I thought you only watched Claymore and TTGL.

But I'm glad you mentioned Berserk, Welcome to the NHK, Kenichi, Black Lagoon, huge respect for that in my book, especially for Berserk.

Pretty much retired from NB, find me on MyAnimeList from now on

Ok, first off bleach was absolute crap start to finish. lets air that blanket out first.
secondly, Gayass was just death note with Mecha, so any strong points it had, it stole from an infinately better anime, then mixed with gundam...
thirdly, Bebop's ending is one of the defining parts of anime history! not watching it is like not reading the new testament of the bible as a christian! you dont even know what it is that your believe in!!!!
fourthly, finally i agree with you, Claymore is freaking amazing
fifthly, Guren Lagen was just a bunch of fan art they threw together, nothing amazing over all

berserk was like a drug. i can't believe no one ever talks about it.

oh and the manga. the detail Kentaro Miura puts into those chapters' art is insane.

gurren laggan has its moments...
code geass is worlds better than death note.
i saw bepop's ending including random episodes here and there. that's why i don't want to watch it. it was sadly ruined for me by cartoon network need to replay its episodes to death.

Now that's what I'm talking about

Black Lagoon (One of my favorite mangas)
Claymore (anime's end was filler, Priscila is still alive and kicking, you should read the manga (nme))
Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple (I think the ecchi artwork part is kinda meh but I love to see how Kenichi improves through the manga ^^)
Berserk (Berserk, nuff said D:<)
Bleach (Yh ignoring fillers, bleach has a cool design and plot but imo, it all ended in FKT arc)
Gurren Lagann (The first mecha I watched, I found it really cool but I still need to read the manga, just to see the differences)
Code Geass (how can you dislike Death Note and dislike Code Geass >.<, btw you said that you dislike Death Note after the death of L right? If so, I kinda agree with you, Nero is noob af)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (this fma is the "original" because it follows the manga almost perfectly, I'd say 90% or even 95%)

You should watch Mirai Nikki (Future Diary).
Don't pm this account, pm this one instead.

i don't know if i want to make the jump yet, cause they could remake anime, and i won't wanna buy it if i know the story. i suppose that's just a pipe dream though.

indeed

Yeah but the new chapters would make for some good TV. No filler just straight action. I always found it funny how they didn't give a shit where they started the filler.

i liked code geass. Yup pretty much after he died it lost all its suspense.

I haven't watched many of these, but most of them (if not all) are on my want-to-watch list.

This is my opinion on the ones I've watched:

DBZ: Just awesome.
Code Geass: I just can't get how can anyone dislike this series. It's too mainstream for me to go deeper, but it's totally a must watch even if you are not into mecha.
Steins;Gate: I couldn't have loved this show more. It starts out with the plot moving forward slowly, but when it begins to pick up the pace, you can't help but want more. Unlike some anime series, it has a great ending and rarely falls into misused clich├ęs. The plot and the theory behind it is very interesting so much so that it's my favourite anime show.
SAO: My opinion is not so different from everyone's. This story had a great potential, but the second arc was mediocre. Still worth watching, though.
Clannad: The first season was good and funny like Kanon but nothing is compared to After Story. This season makes you depressed as fuck, it shows what most anime stops at, the life beyond the high school and how tough the life might be. It's hard to not get emotionally attached to it because that's really a touchy anime. I still hate that dango song, though. Lol
Future Diary: Another mainstream that's totally worth watching. You may dislike the main character but Yuno balance it out. The ending is totally unpredictable, I assure you this.
Guilty Crown: Another wasted potential show. Although I loved this show, it did fail to make sense in the end. There were so many questions left unanswered and the ending was kind of disappointed. However, if there is one thing extremely good in this show, it's certainly the soundtrack.
Missiles of ligneous or petrous consistency have the potential of fracturing my osseous structure, but appellations will remain sempiternally innocuous.
