Name: Dangan Ronpa / ンガンロンパ 希望の学園と絶望の高校生
Author: Makoto Uezu
Genre: Action, Horror, Mystery, Psychological
Status: Ongoing

Synopsis as ripped from AnimeNewsNetwork:

Being just a normal student without a special talent Makoto Naegi wins a lottery to attend the prestigious Hope's Peak Academy where only the top prodigies attend. However instead of this being the beginning of a wonderful high school life it's a ticket to despair because the only way to graduate from Hope's Peak Academy is to kill one of your fellow students or be one of their victims.

Notice:This is the official discussion topic for the anime series, Brother's Conflict. Feel free to talk about its characters, storyline, etc., in here. Please use spoiler tags if you are discussing possible spoilers.

Personal Opinions: Great plot, doesn't deviate much from the original Visual-Novel styled game. Art is nice and the characters are all very individual.
Spoiler
The cliffhangers are killer.

Wow it seems interesting, remind me of Bokurano. I'm going to add this series to my want-to-watch list.

Added to the List.
Missiles of ligneous or petrous consistency have the potential of fracturing my osseous structure, but appellations will remain sempiternally innocuous.

I was really looking forward to this anime especially after finishing the game and im kinda enjoying it, but vidya-anime adaptations are always awful and this is no exception, this adaptation is mediocre and lazy, someone should stop kishi seiji from doing vidya-anime adaptations.

Currently watching this and can't wait for future episodes to be released, love the mystery solving the anime provides, I thrive on that kind of things although I wish I played the game beforehand

Are you just one of those types of people who think just because they changed one thing in difference between the mediums, or that they didn't add someone/something to it, even if it was just ONE thing, you think it's ruined, disgusting garbage that isn't worth anyone's time? I honestly hate people with that kind of mentality, no offense, but I call it as I see it, and now that I'm no longer bound by certain codes that held me back, I have no qualms of saying it, and I'm quite happy I did.

This anime is bloody amazing! To be fair, even when I tried joining in the investigation, I only saw the second case coming, and even that was when it was nearly solved. I actually enjoyed this anime and will still do so.

However, there's something I want to ask from you?

What, Exactly, Did They Do Wrong? Because if this is going to be like that Deadman Wonderland excuse, I think you people should just leave conversations involving stuff like that due to bias.

Do I have to play the game to get what's wrong with the anime? I want answers to why you people think this anime sucks, that shouldn't require me to play the game to get those answers. That, and I don't have a PS3, and I haven't seen that game in my gamestores, so I didn't even know it existed.

If you wouldn't mind, tell me why you guys hate this anime thru either Spolier or PM, because right now, I think you guys are just, and I take this term from the internet, "butthurt" that it's not an exact replica of the game.

EDIT: I looked it up, and I must ask... How In Nomadian's Name Do You Expect Me To Play A Game Exclusive To Japan until 2014?! Because the games will come out in 2014 for America, and even still, only for the PSP & PS Vita (Two systems you will never catch me play whatsoever, even if they have rare exceptions of good games!) There's no way in hell I could've played this game, and because of you, I had to spoil myself of what happened. Thanks a lot guys, I was really looking forward to finding out the anime myself!

I don't emulate games, because that's piracy that can be tracked if you don't know what you're doing (Or go to sites that aren't that good at what they do), and even then, I don't play most games with a keyboard and a mouse. It annoys me a bit. Also, I don't play games without English Subtitiles, and even then that's a big IF I will do so, as I prefer to play games that have my native language of English in both Dialogue and other stuff all the way.

Once again, I'm still seeing some butthurt here unless I get a proper explanation, because I honestly don't see an excuse you guys have right now.

There's only one person here who has criticised the anime Andrew, and yeah it does seem like they're butthurt it's not the exact original but can't you see where they're coming from?

Well it doesn't matter anyway, he didn't played the game after all, no point in writing all of that again.

@Enaki_Renraku, I nowhere said that I hate the anime, in fact, I'm quite enjoying it. I just simply asked you did you play the game (which can be done via fan translations), nothing else, also I have no reason to be "butthurt" at all, cause everything you said has nothing to do with me or my post above.

You need to calm the fuck down, and get your shit together, Andrew.

Good job on leaving out the bad language

If the game for this anime came out in England I would love to buy it, it's had me on edge every time they try to solve who the new murderer is and it always takes me by surprise.

Spoiler
Damn I can't wait to find out who the 16th High Schooler is!

First of all i want to say that i like and i'm enjoying this anime, however just because you like something doesnt mean its good.

"What, Exactly, Did They Do Wrong?"
As i said its a lazy adaptation, why? because theyre just copy pasting scenes from the game, they just took the scenes from the game and put it in the anime, not only that but they are censoring them as well.

Also just because someone is criticizing an anime that doesnt mean they hate it or that they are mad at it.

To be fair I'd rather have scenes from the game than bastardized new scenes that don't convey the same fear or pain the game did.

That being said, The censoring is incredibly minimal and it sounds to me like you're just one of those kids that picks at every detail to moan about just for the sake of being 'edgy' or 'against the popular opinion'

Why complain about not getting new scenes when you said yourself you don't trust Seji with the adaptation as-is? You're giving him more rope to hang himself with by asking for more opportunity to 'fuck something up'.

Whether you or me like the fact that they put the game scenes in the anime instead of making new ones doesn't change the fact that its lazy.

The execution scenes dont even convey any fear or pain they are just comical deaths and yes the censoring is minimal, but then why even bother censoring it?

The popular opinion? oh you mean all those casuals that just blindly follow everything they like and think that everything they like is perfect and get mad at just one critique.
I dont do stuff like this just for the sake of being "edgy", when an anime is good it doesnt matter if i like it or not i just go ahead and say that its good.

Why complain? i suppose i should be saying "Good job seiji instead of fucking everything up, you are just doing nothing!"
well i complain because he is not even trying anymore.
