Kusanagi, created on 25 September 2006, is one of the first few clans on Naruto-Arena and grew to become one of the top clans during the period from 2006 to 2007. As a clan, our members help each other out in our quest to unlock characters and arrange private battles to hone our skills. We also actively discuss about Naruto-Arena stuff (characters, teams, strategies, etc) on our Naruto-Arena Portal forum. The Kusanagi is the legendary Japanese sword that is as important to Japan's history as the Excalibur is to Britain's. Just like the Kusanagi sword, our clan is one of the most prominent clans around and will never cease to be so. With it's strict requirements and even stricter squad guidelines, they have no problems with disposing of their own if the squad or clan is at stake. Because of it's warrior mentality and brutal nature, this cutthroat squad has been nicknamed "The Wolves of Mibu" by locals and enemies alike. At the same time, HeartofSword also created the Naruto-Arena Portal forum so that Naruto-Arena players had a proper avenue to gather and discuss about the game as Naruto-Boards had not been created. The forum also flourished and became one of the reasons people discovered the clan. Zero Two: The Golden Age of Kusanagi Within two months, together with the first few members gathered; most notably correojon; Magic66; Sasuke28; hawk442; dragon-tamer; jbrosrulez, HeartofSword made Kusanagi grow and flourish into one of the top clans in Naruto-Arena. Some of the notable members not already mentioned include Cavester, Cloud3x, Saxboy77, JC3, Kross, ZeonBR, koruma, Hax. Zero Three: The First Fall of Kusanagi In July 2007, after enjoying the golden age for almost a year, HeartofSword became less active due to other commitments and Kusanagi began losing steam. Although there was a council organized to manage the clan whenever HeartofSword was able to, members felt that it just was not the same without the drive that he brought. From then, members started becoming less active and some left the clan. Zero Four: The Rebirth of Kusanagi Some time around 21 October 2007, the second generation of Kusanagi began to take form with DemIIx/santana4242 and Dangerdoom as leaders. With the help of the first generation Kusanagi members, such as hawk442, Hax, Cloud3x, cuddymaru, TheTenken, duos, SabakyuTaiso, plus new faces such as RMMR143, phoenyx11, sesema, Herge, and anique_24, the clan began to flourish. The clan was finally active again and had a sort of momentum going again. - more coming soon - Zero Five: The Second Fall of Kusanagi Unfortunately, things took an unexpected turn around mid-summer 2008 and Kusanagi had officially disbanded on 3 July 2008, with its members leaving for other clans. Long-time members Kross and Hax joined Aenigma. - more coming soon - Zero Six: The New Era of Kusanagi After being away from Naruto-Arena for a long time, HeartofSword visited Naruto-Arena on 7 December 2008 to find that Kusanagi was in shambles; Kusanagi was disbanded and the name was stolen as it was already registered as a clan by some unknown person. It prompted him to bring Kusanagi back. Thus began the rebuilding of Kusanagi as HeartofSword had to gather ex-members, set certain issues straight and revamp the old clan forum. Cavester and Dangerdoom were one of the first to respond to the call and make contributions; and they became co-leaders of Kusanagi. #2 Kusanagi is opening recruitment for members and you can find out how you can apply to join us here. We are looking for people who are mature and active. Phase 00 - Interface Visit our clan forum and clan chatbox to find out more about our clan and interact with our members. You will need to complete and pass all 4 Phases to join our clan. Phase 01 - Realization & Creation In order to proceed to Phase 03, you will need to complete and pass both Phase 01 and Phase 02 following one of the two paths; either the Path of a Warrior or the Path of a GFXer. Realization / Path of the Warrior - Requirements 1. Highest Level (not current level) achieved on either N-A or S-A is level 31 or higher. 2. Highest streak achieved on either N-A or S-A is +15 or higher. Creation / Path of the GFXer - Requirements 1. You need to be good at the following: - Naruto and Bleach fanart (or at least have good Naruto/Bleach stock images) - photoshop - banner making 2. Pass the GFX test. Send a PM to Kusanagi to showcase your works and stock images. We will reply your PM with the details of the test. Each test given to each applicant will vary and be different. 3. Be an active GFXer by accomplishing GFX requests from our clan members. 4. Be an active participant by being active on our clan thread, chatbox and forums to make them lively and fun. Phase 02 - Resolution Post the answers to the following issues on our recruitment thread (click here) : 1. What is your GMT time zone? Please find out the exact number of your time zone by clicking here. There is also a time zone converter on that website (click here). 2. What are times that you are usually able to come onto N-A or S-A? Please include numbers and use the time from your own GMT time zone. 3. Which path have you chosen? The Path of the Warrior or the Path of the GFXer? 4. Do you play N-A or S-A or both? 5. Which do you play more often? 6a. What are your usernames of all your accounts and alts on N-A? 6b. What are your usernames of all your accounts and alts on S-A? 7. Why do you want to join Kusanagi? 8. Are you currently in any other clan? If yes, answer question 9. If no, move on to question 10. 9. Why did you quit your previous clan to join us? 10. What is your age? 11. Have you visited our chat box before? 12. How active can you be in clan activities? 13. What can you contribute or do for the clan? 14. What achievements of yours on N-A or S-A that you are most proud of? 15. Are there any other achievements that you would like to mention? 16. What would you do if someone flamed you for no reason? 17. What would you do if someone flamed another member of the clan? 18. What would you do if the other clan members are from a different time zone and you are the only one from your time zone? 19. Tell us more about yourself. Anything that has not been already mentioned. Phase 03 - Encounter If you have passed both Phase 01 and Phase 02, you will be eligible to engage in the trial private battles. In order to have any chance to pass this phase, you will need to battle 6 people, of which there must at least be - one leader - three captains (or leader) - two lieutenants (or captain/leader). To arrange the time and date for the trial private battles, you will need to personally PM them individually or find them on the clan chatbox. You will be evaluated based on your performance and attitude and it will determine whether you pass for fail. Phase 04 - Accession Once you have passed Phase 03, the invitation for entry to the clan will be sent to you and you will be given the rank of "Black Dart" if you have chosen the "Path of the Warrior". If you have chosen the "Path of the GFXer" instead, you will be added to the GFX Squad. This is not the end of the line after you have joined Kusanagi. Your promotion to higher ranks and squads will not only depend on your performance during the trial battles but will also depend on your eventual performance, contributions and activeness.
