I was sitting in a spammed topic when I read a certain post:

Mainly because you aren't putting foward contrsuctive arguments though.

Seriously most topics go like this atm:

"Old ladder was so much better"

Next 10 posts
"Y3AH I AGREE SCREW THE NEWBS!! 10101010"

"OMG YEAH I HATE THE MODS FOR SCREWING MY LYF UP"

If you want the moderators to take notice you have to make a thread with contstructive ideas on what should be done. Only then will the change happen.

Give it a shot.

And I got a great idea:

Ban Appealing
The basics of this idea involve a user getting banned. But, within an hour of the ban, say, 5 or more users tell a mod they would like to appeal the ban(This process would involve posting in a new forum/subforum(Sadly, this does involve making a new forum/subforum) and including the following aspects of the ban: User, Date, Time, Location(Thread in which the user was banned), Reason, and the mod who banned the user). The mod would then get together with 1 or more mod(s) and they would revise the ban. Somewhere within the next 24 hours, the decision would be made and it would be posted in the forum/subforum where the appeal was made.

Since you're reading this, thank you for taking the time to review my suggestion.

And please no spam just saying "I agree" or anything related to that. I dont want this to be like another off-topic spam session

Yay looks like someone took my suggestion of making a thread with constructive thoughts rather then complaints.

(Valex was quoting me >.<)

I think a Ban Appeal system would be cool, but the moderators have said they are already going to review all bans.

I like it but Leychance is on a rampage and closing most topics now. So don't be surprised if he/she(I'm not sure which anymore :S) closes it.

the problem here is basically any popular person would have their ban appealed regardless of what they did as well as a huge increase in work and time consumption for the mods

I'm kinda with pac on this one. Though the idea is not bad itself, it would cause unnecessary work for mods.

Intresting suggestion but as Pac said popularity would play a huge role in this..
I hope this gets looked at and at least thinked over by the mods..

Ahh, but if the reason they provided was invalid, couldnt the mod just close the topic for a reason such as spam and be done with it?

but again if the system has the ppl making baseless topics doesnt that just create more spam instead of preventing it?

edit: i dont think this is a bad idea i just see potential flaws in it

Instead of the populous doing the ban appeal itself, we could be doing a recurrent 'ban review' (like every 2 months we would review bans, and make case for EACH of them).
Chance: Hey Kostas
Kostas: Yes my Jedi apprentice?
Chance: You are underestimating my power, Master
Kostas: I have the high ground Chance, don't try it.
Betrayer: What do you need whaleboy?
Chance: *jumps off*
Kostas: "bzzt slice!"
Chance: *writhes in pain* AAAAARGGGGGGHH!!
Kostas: You were like a brother to me Chance! You were supposed to bring balance to the force, not destroy it!
Chance: I HATE YOU!
Betrayer: WHALE BOY!!!
