#8 Blue as in true blue, this means exactly what you would expect from an Akatsuki member. This was how I interpreted it, that and the fact that Kisame is blue.

#9 I think I read somewhere that the blue was gonna be the original color for the clouds on the akatsuki robes, but it got changed to red
