History of Super Smash Brothers
Super Smash Brothers is a crossover fighting/action game released for the Nintendo 64 in Japan on January 21, 1999, and released on April 26, 1999 in North America, followed by Australia in 1999 then on November 19, 1999 in Europe.[1] Super Smash Bros. was the first game in the Super Smash Bros. series. It was followed by the top selling game Super Smash Bros. Melee for the Nintendo GameCube in 2001 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii in 2008. The game was developed by HAL Laboratory, who were also responsible for the Kirby and EarthBound intellectual properties, and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64 console.

When it comes to serious fighting, yes; I use Marth, Wario, Wolf, Snake, and it's a tough choice between Ganondorf and Zero Suit Sammy as of now. I'll still definitely use Capt. Falcon, but if it's a tournament match/ladder match, then no. At least, not for a very long time, when I improve with him. I've seen some Brawl pros' Capt. Falcons (like Supa), and just from watching them, I know it's possible to compete with every character using Capt. Falcon, even against Snake and Meta-Knight. I know my Capt. Falcon is good, but isn't the best, but I'm proud to be the only Capt. Falcon user on this thread, and not be ashamed of his position on the queer list, and will continue to use him accordingly.

-As Wario-man you can keep doing your aerials to get up to the top of the stage and keep going but not die. BUT when he uses a fully charged fart at the top of the screen he dies.
-When you use Aether Ike says " Aether!", but when you use it and move the control stick to the left or right, he screams " Gaaah!"
-If you use a grab onto the cypher while Snake holding onto it, he can't use it anymore. The only way is to use the C4 beforehand.
-Captain Olimar has an invincibility frame when he uses his whistle.
-Charizard is the only character that can't swim. (Always in drowning phase)
-The only B move the Kirby doesn't copy is Pikmin Pluck. (He copies Pikmin Throw)
-Ike's sword is Ragnell.
-Ike’s fire element came out of nowhere, he has no power of fire in FE9 or FE10.
-F.L.U.U.D is missing his inventor's insignia that’s supposed to be on his back
-Yoshi is the only character who has a unique shield.
-Hanenbow is the only stage without music.
-Metaknight is the only character from his series who has a different victory theme.
-Brawl is the only game in which Jigglypuff can not be unlocked by beating classic mode.
-Marth and Ike can counter Dedede's and Kirby's Sucking Ability
-When Tabuu releases his chains, you can see blood where the chains where attached to masterhand
-When Lucas & Ness collide after bein hit by their own PK thunder,Ness will prevail.
-Ness's Up and Down smashes are the only two smashes that don't make the person glow yellow while charging.
-Olimar's Pikmin Chain is the only Pikmin required attack that does not change his Pikmin order.
-Capt. Falcon’s eyes are visible up close to him.
-Capt. Falcon carries a gun with him, but doesn’t use it.

Many have tried to reach the level of a super pwning Falcon Punch and Zelda and Ness are close to doing so,
but everyone else, well…

The Trinity

G&W, Metaknight, and Snake, the three top tier characters that are placed high above other characters. The reason: Simply a better move set. G&W and Metaknight are both fast brawlers and have considerable range for being small and light-weights. Snake on the other hand isn’t such a good aerial brawler but has incredible range, power, and survives to percentages of sometimes over 200 because of him being one of the game’s heaviest characters. You can clearly see that it’s not all about the move set. All three do a terrific job showing their brawl-skills. Also, not everyone mains at least one of those top queers. Otherwise brawling would be very boring…although there are some people out there tending to main many “uber” characters. *looks at Shika*

The fighting style of each player is mostly determined by their own opinion about how high the chance of winning is when they fight in a specific way. Of course the characters you choose have a large influence on your fighting style. For example: Wolf’s smash abuse, Icey’s grab-mania, Falco’s specials spam, and Samus’s shooting frenzy.
There are a few sub-categories to the following fighting styles but naming them broadly is sufficient:

Defensive: This type of brawler tends to roll away from the enemy if the chance is high of getting hit. He uses the projectile of his character more often than needed in hopes to rack up damage while disabling the enemy from coming closer. If his opponent happens to be near, he uses a smash attack to get rid of him and prevent his percentage from increasing.
Defensive Brawlers don’t like the aerial play and are certainly not likely to jump off the stage trying to deliver a finishing blow to their enemy. All in all, this is a weaker version of the Spammer who will be introduced below. Playing defensively does not only take long to eventually win but is also predictable and an experienced brawler is going to find a hole in the defending brawler’s repeating movements.

Spamming: Everyone knows them, spammers. Their way of fighting is even more exhausting than the style of a defensive whore. They maximally use 6 attacks to win, most likely including smash attacks and specials. Worst thing is though that they succeed easily by doing so and you might have a hard time countering them without spamming by yourself as well. Starfox characters are well known as spammers, but also many other characters can be used to spam. Some examples: Kirby, Captain Falcon, Pikachu, Metaknight, Marth, and Link.
The best way to defeat a ruthless spammer is to start approaching and to observe how they react in order to find a way that breaks their defensive movement. Funnily, this is going to work for a while since they are not used to “real” fighting and thus they won’t find a way to avoid your approaches. Eventually they are going to try some aerial stuff but that’s probably their biggest weak spot. There is not a safe way to spam aerials so the chance is high that they’ve never done that before and finally you are in the position of finishing them off.

Offensive: Fairly easy to explain. A brawler who is rushing at the opponent using every single attack his character has to offer. This gives a lot of experience also in the case of loosing. By playing offensively, you will become better, even if you don’t notice it since the process of “brawl-leveling-up” seems slow in your opinion because you still lose to the same buddy all the time. But I mean, your buddy is surely becoming better as well as you do.
Anyway, the offensive play differs the most because the usage of all attacks creates a large variety of defensive play which is not only influenced by the character you choose like in the cases of Spamming and Defensive playing. This is where the “Metagame” comes from: Knowing the capabilities of your character who is fighting against another character, including him- or herself in person, and knowing their capabilities as well to predict movements, to counter, and to succeed!

Featured Fighter Lucario

Lucario (Rukario) is a character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It is said to have replaced Mewtwo, though their fighting styles are different. Lucario is unique among the fighters in that its attacks that rely on Aura become more powerful as it takes damage, capping at 200%. Its power also increases slightly if it is behind in a match, effectively meaning that it is more powerful if fighting at a "disadvantage".

Trivia
-The Lucario in "Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew" can use Aura to communicate with humans. However, in the series, other Lucario couldn't speak or communicate telepathically. This suggests that the Lucario in Brawl is the same one from the film.
-Lucario is the only Pokémon not to use the standard Pokémon On-Screen Appearance of emerging from a Poké Ball. This also suggests that the Lucario in Brawl is the same one from the movie, as that Lucario never had a Poké Ball, being from a time when they didn't exist.
-In the Pokémon games, due to being a Steel-type Pokémon, Lucario is immune to poison; however it can be harmed by "poison" (white) Pikmin in Brawl.
-With its first appearance in 2007, Lucario is the "youngest" fighter in Brawl. However if this Lucario is indeed the same one from the film, it should be one of the oldest characters by literal means.
-While Pikachu's Quick Attack does damage in Brawl as well as Pokémon games, Lucario's ExtremeSpeed deals no damage, despite being a more powerful version of Quick Attack in the Pokémon series.
-Oddly enough, Lucario's counter attack is Double Team, which does not counter an enemies attack in the Pokémon games, while Lucario naturally learns Counter, a move which does exactly that. Also, a Lucario can only learn Double Team through Technical Machine.
-If Lucario uses Double Team with a Pikmin attached to it and attacking, the Pikmin will "vanish" with Lucario.
-Reversal, a move Lucario can learn, is very weak, but increases in power the less healthy the user is. The Aura property may come from this. Why Lucario was given this ability may be because out of all the Pokemon that can learn Reversal, Lucario is one of the more common.
-Lucario's Pummel actually takes more than one hit to do 1% damage
-Aura Storm deals damage, even if the enemy is a little bit above Lucario while it performs the move.

Down + A: Shovel (AC brings out a shovel to dig a hole in front of him. The movement damages the foe, can be used to dig up pitfalls. A small hole will appear for about 2 seconds )

Special Moves

Standard B: Fruit Throw (AC throws fruit at the foe, any of the five fruit can be throw. If caught, the foe can eat the fruit and recover some damage. Sometimes a fossil will be thrown for major damage. 1:27 Ratio)

Side + B: Water Can (AC uses his can to water the foe which has some distance. A flower will grow on the foe’s head and they will take damage depending on how close they were.)

Down + B: Pitfall Drop (AC drops a pitfall in the ground, if used in the air and it hits a foe, they will rocket downward.)

Up + B: Bridge (A bridge is made to trampoline AC upward. This does no damage but AC also takes no damage)

Taunts

Up Taunt: Expression: Happy, notes surround AC and he sings
Side Taunt: Expression: Yawn, AC is sleepy and gives a big yawn
Down Taunt: Gyroid, a gyroid comes out and does a few spins entertaining AC.

Final Smash: Bees

A big tree appears doing minor damage and the characters stop to see what happens. AC shakes the tree and a bee hive comes out and attacks the other players. This lasts for about 15 Seconds until the bees disappear. Player’s can fight back, but the numbers of bees are overwhelming. Once the 15 seconds are over, the bee’s pop and do minor damage, this does not make them flinch. AC will also be able to freely attack.

Territory Wars

-Overview
Groups of 3 members will make their own team and assigned a piece of land. In order to gain more land, you must “fight” another team for their land in a war. If you win, you get the land that they wagered. If you lose, your opponents get the land that you wager.
-War Rules
For the land war to be official, you must declare war on another member of another group. Battles take place in Team Battles, so at least 2 of your members must be online. The matches will be 3 Stock, No items, fair stage.
-Inactivity
Just like with real land, if left unguarded, it will be taken over by another land. For land to be considered unguarded, the landowners must of not posted for 3 days. Also refusing to declare war with another land will result in a siege. A siege will act pretty much like open land, first come first serve.
-Land Wagers
There will be 4 starting teams, each owning a quadrant of the SSE. Each quadrant will be divided into smaller lands such as “The Wilds” or “The Cave.” These are the areas that will be wagered in land wars. You can wager more than one piece of land if you wish to do so.
-Groups
The 4 Starting Teams will each consist of a minimum of 3 members. Of these 4 groups, a captain will be selected and they will “Draft Pick” members they wish to be in the group. More members can be invited, but they must play some kind of active role in the group. You can start your own group but you will only be given one area to wager.

The Tier List
This is the current ranking of Smash Bros. characters that was compiled by tournament results, pro players opinions etc.

"1. Tier placement doesn't necessarily reflect your ability to beat your friends with a specific character. You might beat your friend's Metaknight with Sonic, but that doesn't mean Sonic is top tier. It means you win that matchup against your friend. Tiers are not absolute measurements of match outcomes.

5. That said, don't give up hope! Just because your character isn't ranked at or near the top, doesn't mean you can't do fantastic things with them with enough talent and effort. We do not publish this list to encourage players to change their main tournament character. If anything, it should serve as a challenge to take the game to the next level.

6. In Smash, any character can win in any matchup if you are smarter and better than your opponents by a wide enough margin. So keep playing to win and work hard to be the best player you can be, regardless of which character you use. "
