Being perfectly honest if Curry wasn't on such a great team he would be ass.
His defensive skills are trash, his playmaking skills are trash, rebounding ability is trash.

Curry has the better team and for that reason he is the better player.
But in terms of 1 on 1 capability Lillard is winning every single time.

he played passing lanes better then any pg this year which is why he have the most steals if i recall. thats part of defense.

Easy to do when your team FORCES the ball to be passed every 2.8 seconds. The teams defense as a whole is top notch he just happens to play the lanes to get the picks off. But his on-ball defense is pretty mediocre.

While I do think Dame is one of the most underrated PGs atm, saying he is as good as Curry right now makes no sense. We gotta keep in mind Dame is just entering his 5th year in the league and he may as well be best PG in the future. Regardless of great team Curry plays in, you gotta see how many of his 3s are comming of the dribble and as great as GSW are they are not helping him jack shit when he is shooting 3s of dribble. Also Dame is rather high volume shooter and iirc his fg% this year was closer to 40% than it was to 50% and his 3pt fg% was closer to 30% than it was to 40%. Curry is coming of a season which is probably most efficient season we ever got to see any player pull off and he deserves much more respect compared to what people give him. Only comparable PGs to Curry are Westbrook and Paul, and even tho Paul is probably my favorite PG I got to see play we gotta say Curry is one step in front of them in great number of categories. Also I see people saying Currys defense is mediocre, yea that is true but lets not act like any other All-NBA point guard (except Paul) is lock down defender. Nowdays you usually have 3 and D guy to keep better opposition guard under control and players like Curry and Westbrook are pretty much kept fresh for offense.

People keep saying Kyrie and Westbrook are better than him well thats cause most of them hate Curry and GSW, i don't see how or why can u hate them anyways those who don't see curry is best pg and second best player of the league are blind.

Are you serious taka, His coaches makes klay guard point guards because his lack of defense. Steph maybe the best pg rn tho but take away his shooting tell me what he does? Honestly.

Well his shooting is what makes him great. Really if you take away LeBrons barely human body frame he is maybe low tier all star player. Of course is you take away shooting from best shooter that ever appeared in NBA he will be much less valuable. But his shooting bring much more than just his points. He streches the defense more than any palyer ever did. Nobody in NBA was ever guarded when he is like 10 meters away from basket, nobody was double teamed when they get into 1,5 from 3 point line. GSW play is purely based on his shooting as he streches the defense so much there is bound to be free space for some of that other shooters. I mean I am not GSW fan (I am Timberwolves fan cus Garnett), and as such I am not biased. Currys defense is mediocore but that is not the point really, cus pace on which GSW play is rather fast (that is why his number of steals does not reflect how good he is at stealing them, simply pace of GSW allows him some 10ish defensive possesion more than other average team guard) and because of that kind of pace his offense is needed more (as 3>2, and thus the more 3s you shoot the better). And Klay is like evolved form of 3 and D player, so why not make him guard opponents better guard, why waste Currys energy in this fast pace play on guarding players like Harden when he can guard Beverly and be kind of more fresh for offense(also by Curry guarding better guard you risk him getting into foul trouble, and 99/100 I would prefer Klay getting into foul trouble than Curry). Basketball is about winning and not about making one player seem superhuman, and Curry gives you everything you need to win. He is worse than LBJ but lets be honest here, you can make argument that every player that ever played (excluding maybe Jordan) is worse than LBJ. Simply he is kind of player that gives GSW this identity and not other way around.

TBH It took Curry 7 years to average 25+ and 6 + assist only took Dame 4 . Curry is just a shooter ok he can dribble but really tho he cant beat Dame ... When Curry came into the league yall wasnt worried about him... Curry blew up 2 years ago Dame keeps blowing up ... anybody can jack up a three but Dame has done it and won plenty of games . . Dame is better because he doesnt have the flare like GS .. Curry is nothing

K I will give this one more try.

Let's go trough their stats.
By counting only their first 4 years (also lets count Currys years 1,2,4,5 as he was injured his whole 3rd season)

Assists:
Curry: 6.8
Lillard: 6.3

Points:
Curry: 20.8
Lillard: 21.4

FG%:
Curry: 0.446
Lillard:0.426

3pt%:
Curry: 0.439
Lillard: 0.370

FT%:
Curry:0.901
Lillard: 0.870

Steals:
Curry: 1.6
Lillard: 0.9

PER:
Curry: 20.3
Lillard: 19.4

Even if we take into account your imagined 4 year period, Curry still beats Dame in almost any imaginable PG category. I am not saying Dame is bad, I am even one of the people who say he is underrated but he cant be better than Curry. Curry is pretty much 2nd best player in the league (maybe 3rd it is really close between him and KD). While Dame can develop to be a monster, but so far Curry has done much more in NBA. Also in his 5th year Curry was 6th in MVP voting, while this year i think Dame was 8th. Also take into account that Curry had to recover from season ending injuries and still make these stats.
